The Only Bedding You’ll Ever Need

Fact: A good night’s sleep is just as important to overall health as diet and exercise. Fact: Sometimes the only thing that stands between you and a restful sleep is a thin layer of bedding. So I realized a long time ago that when it comes to bedding, you have to search for quality above all else. Seriously, we spend a third of our lives sleeping. Let’s make it worth it.

I went to DC and I stayed in this pretty fancy hotel. Long story short, this hotel had the most comfortable bedding I’ve ever felt. It was unbelievable. I stripped the bed in search of product tags. It was that serious, y’all. Anyway, the company that produced these incredible bed linens is Pacific Coast Feather Company. As soon as I got home, I placed an order for the pillows and comforters. You guys, you just have to experience this to know what I’m talking about. This is truly the most comfortable bedding you’ll ever own. Best part: it’s affordable and super durable. I mean, think about it, hotel rooms get way more traffic than your bedroom at home, or at least I hope so, and this bedding not only holds up but maintains that level of comfort. Right now they’re having a sale on comforters and pillows. Check it out, you guys! You can thank me later.

Target Just Added Some Amazing Things to Their Spring Home Collection!!!

Is it so wrong that I could literally just live in Target if it had secure wifi? I absolutely love the new stuff that hit stores this week and you will too! Fixer Upper Friday—Brooklyn Heights Townhouse Asking $11M

Literally just a few blocks from the Brooklyn Promenade (with that view!!!), a 4,400-square-foot, five-bedroom townhouse at 265 Hicks Street hit the market, asking $10.75 million. That asking price puts it among the ranks of the most expensive homes currently for sale in Brooklyn.

The five-story home was originally built in the 19th century, but recently underwent a top-to-bottom renovation and, per the brokerspeak, has been transformed into a “turnkey masterpiece.” (And yes, there’s an elevator connecting those floors.) There’s an abundance of outdoor space, including a back garden, a fifth-floor balcony (connected to a sun room, because of course), and a private roof deck.

The revamp gave the home a modern feel while retaining many of its original details, including the facade, a bay window on the parlor level, and a grand staircase with a lovely wood banister. Other features include a third-floor lounge (which could be used as a media room, probably); a huge master suite with office and “sitting room”; and a chef’s kitchen that comes with high-end appliances.

There’s also a whole other one-bedroom apartment on the garden level that could be rented out, or simply used as a guest suite.

Sigh. This place is worth every penny! See for yourself. I’m totally drooling over this. It’s been a dream of mine since I was a kid to live in that section of Brooklyn Heights! Check out the pics below!
